Apple is a giant company and a success story in itself, with its creative products being unparalleled and unmatched. But, leaving aside the endless debate between Apple lovers and haters, I want to discuss why Apple products are particularly suitable for designers.
Design
This is the most important point for any designer… The design of the device, the screen, the mouse, the keyboard… all carry a single trait: creativity. We can’t deny Apple’s strength in this field. Every small detail in their products carries endless creativity, from the feel of the device, its thickness, to the packaging contents, which despite their simplicity, make you feel like you’ve got exactly what you wanted. That’s why designers naturally gravitate toward Apple.
Uniqueness
Designers inherently love uniqueness. It’s not necessarily good or bad; it’s just a trait they have. Apple caters to this need and more. All of their products are eye-catching, attractive, and make you feel special. The iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air, iMac – all of these are standout products rich with everything a designer needs in terms of uniqueness, both in appearance and performance.
Performance
As everyone knows, regardless of the past misunderstanding between Apple and Adobe, which I believe has now been resolved, Apple strongly supports Adobe products (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and more). No matter how much I describe the performance of Photoshop, you won’t truly understand it until you try it yourself. I once met a designer using a MacBook – not even a high-end MacBook Pro – and I was amazed by how quickly he opened a PSD file over 800MB in size with dimensions of 50*70 cm. That was a brief experience, so imagine what it’s like for someone who works with it continuously. The compatibility of the device with its internal components and the operating system is a huge plus for Apple.
Applications
Anyone who owns an iPhone, iPod, or iPad understands this point well. The large number of apps available on the Apple Store means you can find everything you need, from essential everyday apps to task management apps that are crucial for any designer, programmer, or tech-savvy professional. Even apps that let you open formats that are nearly impossible to work with on mobile devices, like PSD, AI, and others, are available. A large percentage of these apps are free, and even the paid ones are reasonably priced considering their exceptional performance.
These are just a few points that I believe make Apple products particularly suited to designers and explain why they naturally align with Apple devices of all kinds.
